Wallace G Astrup

Wallace G. (Wally) Astrup, 91, of Peru, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Tyler, Minn. to the late Lauritz and Ellen Astrup. He married Jacqueline Farnam in 1951 and she preceded him in death on July 14, 2006 after 55 years of marriage.

Together they had 6 children Wallace, Thomas, Ellen, Elizabeth, Lawrence and Jacqueline. He is survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was in the Army Air Corps when he was a young man and retired from Square D in Peru. He liked to be outside and enjoyed spending time with his little dog Sweet Pea and caring for the garden, he and his wife started.

He was preceded in death by two sons; Wallace and Thomas and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be from 11am – 1pm on Friday, August 3, 2018 with the Funeral Service to follow at 1pm with Chaplain Larry Phillips officiating at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 W. Canal St. in Peru. Friends and family can leave condolences online at www.riverviewfhperu.com
