Virginia Lee Townsend

Virginia Lee Townsend, 74, of Peru, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was born on February 10, 1943 in Linton, Indiana to the late, Betty Sopher and Eugene Mauder. She married Joseph Townsend on September 25, 1961 and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2011.
She is survived by four children, Debbie (Bill) Green, Peru; Joe Townsend Jr., Peru; Jeff Townsend, Martinsville; Matt (Susie) Townsend, Peru; grandchildren, Joe (Ashley) Miles, Amanda (Nick) Ribble, Billy Green, Josh Townsend, Kristy Herrell, Heather (Darius) Davis, Hope Townsend, Jeffrey (Whitney) Townsend, Shelby Grant, Jennifer Townsend and Mitch Townsend; 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family’s wishes are to have a private memorial service on a later date.
