Shirley (Crist) Stambaugh

Shirley Stambaugh, 87, of Peru passed away peacefully at 2:48 a.m., Monday, November 9, 2020 at Dukes Hospital.

Born on March 4, 1933 in Wabash County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Edith (Rausch) Crist.

Shirley was a 1952 Peru High School graduate.

On August 9, 1952 she married Max E. Stambaugh.  He preceded her in death on August 18, 2002.

Shirley was employed at W.C. Redmon Company for over 30 years retiring in 2002.  She was a faithful member of Peru Baptist Church and she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Allen Stambaugh of Peru and Ann Long (Steve) of Peru, granddaughters, Rae Ann Macias (David) of Kokomo and Emma Long of Peru, Grand dog Ellie Mae, sister, Phyllis Pasley of Peru and brother in law, Joseph Earl Stambaugh of Marion.

She was also preceded in death by daughters, Debbie and Arlene, sisters, Ruth Ann Crist, Doris Spurgeon, and Martha Stambaugh and brothers, Richard and Harvey Crist.

Private family services will be held and interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Peru.
