Sherry L. McAllister, 75, of Peru, passed away on September 11, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne. Sherry was born on February 11, 1949, in Aberdeen, Washington, to the late James Carl McAllister and Betty Mae Goff.

Sherry worked several different construction jobs, where she would build bridges and assist in the overall engineering projects. In her free time, she enjoyed karaoke nights, especially when she could play her harmonica. Sherry was truly a social butterfly and a people person. She loved spending time with people and helping them. Sherry was known to be a jack of all trades, and a master of none. She loved her family and the time she could spend with them.

Sherry is survived by her children; Crystal (Joseph) Armstrong, Tracey (Robert) Jensen, Jennifer McCloskey, Shane McCloskey, grandchildren; Veronica (Rusty) Chandler, Katie Armstrong, Kelsey Armstrong, Kylee Armstrong, Nikita Armstrong, Kilene Barney, Autumn McCloskey, Ellie Risner, Gavin, John and Dakota,  8 great- grandchildren, siblings; James McAllister, Carol Barker, Mark Manners, Robbie Manners, Shannon Long.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband; Daniel Holland, brother; Gary Manners, and daughter; Leah Sale.

A memorial service honoring the life of Sherry will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 6 pm, with Pastor Steve Reshkus officiating, located at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 West Canal Street, Peru. Friends may visit with the family from 4 pm until the time of the service.
