Roger D. Curl, 83, Peru, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017 at the Marion VA Hospital. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Shirley Francis and Apphia Grace (Ayer) Curl. He was medically retired as a Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force and also served in the United States Army. He was a Korean War Veteran. He served as president in the Peru Eagles Lodge and was also a member of the American Legion and VFW in Peru and AMVETS. Roger was also past president of Peru Babe Ruth.
Surviving family include his loving wife of 54 years, Judy (Correll) Curl, one brother David L. Curl, two children from a previous marriage and three adopted children, Roberta (Danny) Bass, Brad (Cindy) Eaglin, Kris (Rick) Stephens and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Shirley McKinley Curl, Joseph Albert Curl and sisters, Elizabeth Curl and Virginia Key.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 21st at 1pm with Rev. Paul Lane at Riverview Funeral Home with visitation from 11-1 prior to the service. Burial will follow in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Cass County. Memorial contributions can be made to the Christian Pilgrim Church in Peru.
