Robert (Bob) Eugene Ege

Robert (Bob) Eugene Ege, 71, Peru, passed away on Friday September 30, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital with his loving family by his side. Bob was born July 2, 1945 in Peru, to the late Eldon and Eva (Harshman) Ege and was the youngest of their five children. He married the love of his life and best friend Nancy Richardson on January 29, 1968 and she survives.
Bob was a graduate of Maconaquah High School class of 1965. He served in the US Navy from 1965 – 69 and served in the Vietnam War receiving many medals. He was a Tool & Die Maker with Chrysler, retiring after 27 years of service in 2004. He was an avid Colts, Pacers, Cubs and Bears fan. Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Bob is survived by one daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Walden, Peru; grandchildren, Dakota, Dayton and Makinsey Erickson, Brayden and Jordan Roe; two sisters, Anita Steininger and Carolyn Bury; one brother, Raymond (Kelly) Ege; one son in law; RJ Berry; two brother in laws, Ron Benge and Ron Richardson, along with many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Allison Berry and sister Beverly Benge. Funeral services will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 1pm with Evangelist Shane Capps officiating. Friends may call on the family from 10 – 1pm at the funeral home.
