Nellie (Rigle) Ramer

Nellie E. Ramer, 67, of Peru, passed away on June 24, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a long three and a half year battle with cancer. She was born in Bunker Hill, IN to the late Fredrick Wendell Rigle and Liza Jane Stapleton. After losing her parents at an early age she raised by her grandparents, Farris and Lear Stapleton, who both preceded her in death.

She was an avid WWE wrestling fan. She also loved doing fill-in puzzles. She loved helping her family and she continued to worry about others during her fight. She loved being on Facebook and keeping in touch with her family and friends.

She is survived by her four children; Anthony (Melissa) Rigle, Michael J. Ramer, daughters; Mary (Freedom) Miller, Shannon Ray (Andrew Smith), 9 grandchildren; Vaughn (Jen) Ansel, Ashley (Eric) Hiers, Ricky (Amanda) Ray, Brandon Wilkinson (Brittany Wolfe), Cody (Katie) Ramer, Braxton Ray, Mackenzie Roberts and Andrea Smith, 10 great-grandchildren; Grace, Jaylob, Alyssa, Trevor, Coltin, Michael, Wesley, Landon, Carter and Ensley, 2 nieces; Patti (Don) Whittaker and Kathi Burns, 1 nephew; Ryan (Libby) Hake and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her late husband; James A. Ramer, sister; Mary E. Hake, one brother; Larry R. Rigle and one granddaughter; Shelby E. Ray.

Visitation will be held from 11-1pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 with services to follow at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 W. Canal ST. in Peru. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery, Bunker Hill.
