Monica K. Hann

Monica Kathleen (Bales) Hann, 65, of Peru, passed away at home at 2:29 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2023.  She was born on September 14, 1958 in Peru, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Millie Bales.

Monica graduated from Peru High School and later joined the United States Navy.  She also was employed with Dr. Yoon’s office for over 20 years, and at Dukes Hospital where she loved caring for people.

Monica had a passion for hard work, and she was well known for her strong work ethic in all of her job’s. Monica’s favorite passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, and spending time with friends.

Monica is survived by a son; Andy (Kayla), and daughter; Jennifer, grandchildren; Addison Hann, Elijah Landis, and Mackenzie John.

She was preceded in death by her sister; Cheryl Walker.

A funeral service honoring the life of Monica will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Riverview Funeral Home, located at 421 W. Canal Street, Peru. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 pm, on Monday, 27th at Riverview Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Butler officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope cemetery, where Military Rites will be performed.
