Martha Ann (Wright) Day

Martha Ann (Wright) Day, 84, of Peru, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru. Martha was born on April 21, 1940, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late Walter and Vivian (Northcut) Wright.

Martha married Dean Day, and he preceded her in death in 1993.

Martha graduated from Anderson Highschool. After graduation, Martha was a homemaker where she helped raise her family.

In her free time Martha enjoyed spending time with her family, playing with her grandchildren, and especially spending time outdoors by the lake. Martha never met a stranger, and she will be greatly missed.

Martha is survived by her children; Tina Johnson, Erik (Shannon) Day, grandchildren; Maranda (Ryan) Smith, Kevin Day, Robyn Smith, Ericca Day, Timothy Smith, great-grandchildren; Coree, Niccoli, Caylan, Bryson, Laynee, Annsley, Remi, and Eleanor.

Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean Day.

A funeral service honoring the life of Martha will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 12 noon, located at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 West Canal Street, Peru. Friends may visit with the family from 10 am until the time of the service. A private family burial will be held at Highland Cemetery in North Judson.
