Mark Gerard Hilgart

Mark G. Hilgart, 55, of Peru, passed away on May 5, 2018 at his residence with his loving wife Jane by his side. He was born on Oct. 2 1962 in Germantown, Wisconsin. He was the son of William and Doris Hilagrt.

He is survived by his wife Jane who he adored very much and a much loved brother, Gerard (Kerry) Hilgart. He also shared with his wife, four children, Cathy (Kelly) Tedlock, Jeff (Maria) Showalter, Daniel (Sara) Showalter and Ronald (Misti) Evans. He was a wonderful grandfather to David (Amy) Sitzes, Stacey (Cory) Taylor, Dani Lynn Showalter, Joshua Showalter, Ally Showalter and Antonio Showalter. He had a very special bond with his grand-daughter, Shyann Evans. He enjoyed the times he spent with his five great grandchildren that brought him great joy, Brayden, Brody, Bryce, Gabi and Gavin.

He had worked as a millwright and project manager in the Peru, Wabash and Logansport areas for 35 plus years. For the past 10 years he’s worked for Jim Galbreath in Logansport, IN. at Galbreath Industrial Services.

Visitation for Mark will be held on May 18, 2018 from 10am – 12pm at East Pointe Bible Church 1540 E. Paw Paw Pike in Peru. A service celebrating Mark’s life will be held at 12pm the same day with Pastor Jim Butler officiating. Burial will then take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
