Maggie Ann Richardson

Maggie Ann Richardson, 76, of Peru, Indiana, went home to the Lord at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru.   She was born November 12, 1943 in Collins, GA to Shelton J. and Evie C. (Hadden) Martin.  She was married to Jerry O. Richardson on Christmas Eve 1963 in Collins, GA.

Maggie worked for General Tire in Wabash for many years and then retired from Trelleborg in Peru in 1998. The most important thing in her life was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.  She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, bingo, word search puzzles and playing solitaire. Surviving family include her husband, Jerry O. Richardson of Peru, as well as her children, Jerry D. (Crystal) Richardson of North Carolina and Kimberly A. (James) Fromm of Peru.  Her surviving grandchildren include Kasha, Brandon, Zeke, Jasmine, Shelby, Tyanne and husband Tony, Tyler and wife Beth,  and Tyla and wife Shelly.   Surviving great-grandchildren include Carter, Cayden, Easton, Ryeland, Faith, Nova, Brianna, Skyler, Maddie, Grace, Lorelai, J.J. and Kaycee.  Maggie is also survived by two brothers, Dennis and Tommy Martin both of Collins, GA.   She was preceded in death by her parents (above) and siblings, Bobbie Jean Todd, Jewel Martin, Mamie Martin and Lester J. Martin.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Peru and will be officiated by Jack Stodgell.  Burial will follow services at the cemetery.   No public visitation is planned; however, friends and family are invited to attend the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the American Heart Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
