Judith Love (Tillett) Phelps

Judith Love (Tillett) Phelps, 92, of Peru, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Restoracy of Carmel. Judith was born on December 12, 1931, in Peru, to the late Paul and Mabel (Miller) Tillett.

Judith graduated from Peru High School and later went on to attend Franklin Colege where she earned her bachelor's degree. Judith also attended John Herron's School of Art.

Judith had worked as a graphic designer for several companies throughout her career. Judith retired from Modern Graphics in Peru where she dedicated over 10 years of service to.

In her free time, Judith had a passion for painting, and she loved art. When she wasn't painting, she could be found tending to her garden, playing with her cats, and reading. Her most cherished past time was spent with her family and friends.

Judith is survived by a son; Jon (Cindy) Phelps, daughter; Melinda (Jim) Woodward, grandchildren; Jessica Woodward, Katherine (Logan) Gordon, Dylan Hobensack, great-grandchild; Wren Hobensack, nephew; Jeff (Brenda) Tillett, and a niece; Jane Williams.

Judith was preceded in death by a brother; John Tillett.

Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until 12 noon on Thursday July 18, 2024, at Riverview Funeral Home, located at 421 West Canal Street in Peru. A private family burial will follow.
