John Stewart Rogers

John Stewart, 63, of Peru, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne. John was born to the late John Rogers and Treva May (Johnson) Cunningham on February 25, 1960, in Peru.

John graduated from Maconaquah High School and later served in the United States Army. After leaving the Army, John went to work at Sellers In Milford where he was a supervisor for over thirty years where he managed the production and alterations of truck chassis.

In his free time John had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the guitar, he was involved with three bands. John was known for having an incredible sense of humor and loved playing jokes on his family and friends. His favorite hobby was spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving John are his sons; John Rogers, Scott (Sarah) Wallace, Christopher (Lela) Kaiser, daughter; Crystal Grimm, sisters; Charolette Wyatt, Freida (Freddy) Kesslar, Angie (Steve) Ridenour, and 9 grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his daughter; Hannah Rogers.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riverview Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
