John F Hilgeman

John F. Hilgeman, 87, of Peru, passed away at his residence on October 21, 2019. He was born in Peru on September 17, 1932 to the late, Ralph and Gladys (Mugford) Hilgeman.  John was married to the late, Susan (Cover) Hilgeman.

John was a 1951 graduate of Peru High School and attended the University of Miami, Florida. John enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served our country for 4 years. Upon returning home he was a train detective in Chicago before hiring on at the Peru Police Dept. in 1967.

John is survived by his sons Blake Hilgeman and wife, Yvonne of Walton and John Hilgeman of Peru, grandchildren Daniel, Alyia, Ashley and Kailen Hilgeman.
