Jane Jones

Jane E. Jones, 59, of Peru, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Jane was born to the late Larry and Marilyn (Lawson) Jones in Peru, on August 27, 1965.

Jane graduated from Peru High School and later went on to study accounting at St. Joseph University. Jane also studied ministry at Franklin University.

Jane had worked at Kroger for over 20 years before eventually retiring.

In her younger years, Jane had a passion for playing softball, and bowling. She enjoyed cross stitching and crafting. She was also a member of the Community Church of Mexico. Her most cherished past time was spent with her family.

Surviving Jane include her brother; Gene Jones, sister-in-law; Christy Jones, nephew; Gage Jones, and a niece; Natalie (TJ) Pruitt.

Jane was preceded in death by a brother; Jim Jones, and sister-in-law; Lisa Jones.

A funeral service honoring the life of Jane will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 1 pm, with Pastor Kyle Schnitz officiating, located at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 West Canal Street, Peru. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of the service.
