Harold Fred Hendrix

Harold F. Hendrix, 59, of Peru passed away at 10:45 a.m., Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born September 28, 1960 in Peru, he was the son of the late Dewey and Omie (Day) Hendrix.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

On October 2, 2009 he married Yvonne S. Anderson, she survives.

He was formerly employed at DMS Contracting at Grissom.  Harold was also a former truck driver.

He was a member of Sunlife Broadcast Network Church and he enjoyed woodworking, reading, fishing, gun collecting, shooting and remodeling.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne S. Hendrix of Peru, step daughter, of Maria Oaks of Peru, step sons, Christopher (Kara) Hosler of Peru and Levi Hosler of Peru, brother, Douglas (Louise) Hendrix of Peru and grandchildren, Kayla, Crissy, Chelsey and Kasey Oaks, Kaiden, Haley, Paisley, Mason, Kash and Ella Hosler, nephews, Mark Hendrix and Doug Hendrix, Jr., niece, Beth Hendrix and several great nieces and nephews.   He is also survived by his beloved dog, Jack.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Berta Hendrix.

A Graveside Service with Military Rites will be performed at 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 14, 2020 Mt. Hope Cemetery.
