Harold Childers

Harold E. Childers, 80 of Peru, passed away peacefully at 5:22 p.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at his residence.

Born on April 15, 1941 in Peru, he was the son of the late Walter and Lulu (Crane) Childers.

Harold graduated from Peru High School.  He retired from Peru Utilities.

Harold was a proud U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include brother, Roy Childers (Pam) of Peru, children, Susan Kegley of Kokomo, Nancy Harris of Kokomo, Katherine Burt (Willie) of Peru, grandchildren, Zachary Hetzner of Kempton, Dakota Harris of Kokomo, Matthew Harris of Kokomo.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Louise (Sparks) Childers.

Private graveside services with Military Rites were held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Marion National Cemetery in Marion.
