Freda Jean (Mabe) Dickerhoff

Freda Jean Dickerhoff, 67, of Peru, passed away on July 8, 2019 at her residence. She was born in West Virginia on January 16, 1952 to the late, Sid Mabe and Rosie (Stroud) Newsome.  On April 19, 1974 she married the love of her life Rolland, and he survives.

Freda was a dedicated housewife and grandmother. She looked forward to spending time with her 21 grandchildren, planting flowers and going to garage sales.

She is survived by her husband; Rolland, children; Rhonda (Tom) Smith, Lisa (Billy Pullins) Hughes, Kenneth Roberts, Rolland Roberts, Shawn (Bethany) Dickerhoff, Tiffany (Samuel) Sims and Shane (Amber) Dickerhoff, 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, mother in law; Donna Copeland  and 1 brother; Hayes Newsome Jr.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather; Hayes Newsome, sister; Lillian “Snookie” Baisden, and special aunt and uncle; Virgil and Louella Stroud.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Freda will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 12pm at Riverview Funeral Home with Steve Hudson officiating. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service. Burial will take place in Friends Cemetery, Wabash County.
