Evelyn Kunczt

Evelyn (Baudaillier) Kunczt, 81, of Peru passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Evelyn was born to the late Louis and Eva Baudaillier on March 1, 1942, in Bridgeport, Ohio.

Evelyn graduated from Bridgeport High School in Ohio. After graduation, Evelyn went on to work with the FBI as a fingerprint technician in Washington D.C.
On January 6, 1962, Evelyn married her high school sweetheart Anthony J. Kunczt, who preceded her in death on September 7, 2021. As they settled in Peru, IN, Evelyn went on to work with American Stationery as a dedicated supervisor until her retirement.

Evelyn loved shopping and cooking. She was an amazing baker and her family looked forward to her elephant ears on special occasions. She had a passion for all things Christmas and enjoyed decorating and baking Christmas cookies. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren that she cherished. She also enjoyed spending time at the casino and vacationing with her family and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her children; Michael (Cheryl) Kunczt, Christine Shuey, Belinda Kunczt, son-in-law Randall Helder, grandchildren; Laura (Mike) Cross, Amy Helder, Kenneth (Christa) Helder, Jeffery (Dani) Helder, Jessica Kunczt, Andrea Kunczt, Alissa Kunczt, Rachel Shuey, great-grandchildren; Jaxson and Gwendolyn, and many more extended family and loved ones.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her eldest daughter; Deborah Helder.

A private burial celebrating the life of Evelyn will be held at Marion National Cemetery at a later date. A public celebration of life will also be held by the family at a later time.
