Etta Mae (Darrell) Hack

Etta Mae Hack, 86, of Peru, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Etta was born on September 15, 1938, to the late Virgil and Rittie (Stapleton) Darrell, in Salt Lick Kentucky.  Etta married the love of her life Donald Hack, in Fulton, Indiana, and they had 68 years of a loving marriage together.

Etta worked at Square D in Peru for several years before retiring. In her free time, Etta enjoyed spending time outdoors where she enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. She enjoyed her puzzles, and she loved to cook and enjoy meals with her family, especially over her fried chicken. Most of all, her most cherished past time was spent with her family, and especially her grandchildren.

Etta is survived by her loving husband; Donald Hack, son; Michael (Karla) Hack, daughters; Vickie (Jon) Petry, Melissa Pollard, Donna Dillman, sisters; Marie Wynne, Deloris Donathan, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Etta in death are sisters; Gladys Whitt, Elma Cook, and Loretta Darrell, and brothers; George Darrell, and Homer Darrell.

A funeral service honoring the life of Etta will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 12 noon, with Pastor Aaron Gross officiating, located at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 West Canal Street, Peru. Friends may visit with the family from 10 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park, in Logansport.
