Doris J (Crist) Spurgeon

Doris J. Spurgeon, 78, of Peru, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at Ft Wayne Lutheran Hospital. Doris was born on February 6, 1941 to the late Roy and Edith (Rausch) Crist.

Doris is survived by her two sons, Larry Gridley, Albany, GA and Lester (Jeannine) Gridley, Vine Grove, KY; three daughters, Linda (Ron) Craft, Argos, IN; Phyllis (Mike) Meredith, Peru and Becky Mongosa, Peru; grandchildren, Thomas and Sandy Gridley, Randy, Caitlyn and Lewis Mongosa, Brittany Hedrick, Ryan Meredith, Briana Craig, three great grandchildren and two sisters, Phyllis Pasley and Shirley Stambaugh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Spurgeon; two brothers, Richard and Harvey Crist; two sisters, Ruthann Crist and Martha Stambaugh and a stepdaughter, Donna Hendrich.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Doris will be held at Riverview Funeral Home on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 1pm with visitation from 11am until the time of service. Pastor Bill Sheets with be officiating. Family and friends may sign the guestbook online at www.riverviewfhperu.com
