Donald C. Phillips, 62, of Peru passed away at 8:51 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Kokomo. He was surrounded by his children, who he kept laughing and smiling until the very end.
Born May 31, 1960 in San Diego, California, he was the son of Donald and Janet Phillips. He spent his days in the California sun surfing and skateboarding. He enjoyed spending time at the beach and camping with his sister and many cousins.

In his downtime, Donald enjoyed reading, taking care of his beloved Jeep and making fun of his children and grandchildren. He was a talented comedian and would try to get a smile out of anyone.
He enjoyed a cold one during happy hour with his friends at many of Peru’s local clubs. He spent time floating the river, playing ping-pong in the garage, and watching his San Diego sports teams.
Survivors include his children, John Phillips (Ginger) of Kokomo, Erin McFalls of Texas, Kayan Sommers (Michael) of Walton, Jessica Kintner of Walton and Lauren Phillips of Winona Lake and grandchildren, Noah McFalls, Emelia Dixson, Carter Phillips, Adalynn Kintner, Allison Phillips and Zella Sommers.
