Bobby Joe Grant

Robert J. (Bobby Joe) Grant, 67, of Peru, passed away in the early morning of Saturday, April 21, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 2,1951 to the late, Robert “Cork” and Roberta Jean Grant. He was a 1969 graduate of Peru High School. On September 10, 1972 he married the love of his life Trina Steele, she survives.

In 1969 Bobby Joe hired in at Square D and worked there for 32 before hiring out on the NS railroad as a Conductor, where he worked for the last 14 years. Bob was the most loyal, honest, hardworking, smart and loving man, who loved life. He fiercely loved his family, friends and his cubbies. He enjoyed playing golf and disc golf.

He is survived by two children; Delora (David) Burke of Laporte and Mathew Grant of Peru, grandchildren; Murphy and Maxwell Burke, one sister; Candi (Ed) Burt, along with a clan of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 4pm-7pm at Riverview Funeral Home, 421 W. Canal St. Peru, IN.
