Barry Kent Worl

Barry Kent Worl, 69, of Bunker Hill passed away onto his heavenly home with his loved ones surrounding him at his residence on July 14, 2018.

He was born in 1949 in Peru to the late Weldon and Esther (Shively) Worl. He attended Clay Township and graduated from Maconaquah High School in 1967. On May 17, 1974 in Peru he married Jeryl Gochenour and she survives.

Barry worked at International in Peru and went on to work at Marburger Foods in 1979. He retired from Marburger, now Smithfield Foods in 2014 after 35 years.

Barry was a very dedicated Dad, Husband and Papaw. He never missed any activities with his children and grandchildren. During the summer you could always find him at a baseball field watching his grandchildren. Coaching softball and watching baseball were his passions. He was one of the first people to start a softball league for girls at Maconaquah. He was also a member of the Peru Maennerchor.

Barry will be missed by many. He touched many peoples lives through his 69 years here on earth. If you were lucky enough to have met him, you would know that he was an incredible man.

Barry is survived by his two daughters; Kerri (Mark) Chupp, Amboy and Alyssa (Scott) Miller, Kokomo. His grandchildren, whom he adored, Brayton and Kinzie Graber, Lucas and Tanner Chupp, Layne and Mayci Miller. He is also survived by his brothers; Terry ( Jane Ann) Worl, Kokomo and Kerry (Vicki) Worl, Bunker Hill, aunt; Joan (Don) Hullinger, Florida. Along with 7 nieces and 4 nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother; Garry Worl, sister; Donna Jane Worl, sister-in-law; Diane Worl and nephew; Brad Worl.

Visitation will take place on Weds. July 18, 2018 from 2-7pm at Riverview Funeral Home at 421 W. Canal St. in Peru. The funeral service will take place on Thurs.
