Barbara "Faye" (Goodin) Ramey

Barbara “Faye” Ramey, 80, of Peru gained her wings and went to be with the Lord at 2:38 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022, at Dukes Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 19, 1942, in Louellen, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Stella (Caudill) Goodin. She attended Silver Creek High School in Southern Indiana.

She formerly was employed at General Tire and Heraeus Electronite.

Faye was a member of First Church of Christ in Peru and enjoyed attending Women’s Bible Study. Faye had many passions in life, which included crafting, gardening, canning, painting, and scrapbooking but her favorite was playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Faye was proud to have made several scrap books and quilts for her family throughout the last several years. Faye had quite the sense of humor, she always kept everyone laughing with her jokes/riddles. She especially enjoyed walks in the woods.

Survivors include her daughters, Beckie Ambrose (Rex) of Peru and Beverley Ramey of Peru, sister, Stella Mae Farren (Charles) of Kokomo, half-sister, Shirley Robinson of Florida, grandchildren, Shalayna Correll (Scott) of Peru, Andre Ambrose (Vicki) of Peru, Johnna Landwehr (Zach) of Tipton and Madison Harp (Mayson Bammerlin) of Peru and great grandchildren, Kyannah, Elijah, Moriah, & Alliyah Correll, Treson & Azalea Ambrose, Mayci Bammerlin, and a great grandson on the way.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Ramey, brothers, Willie, James, Charles and Johnny Goodin and sisters, Marie Blair and Mildred Goodin.

Services will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2022 at the First Church of Christ, 2584, S. Business U.S. 31, Peru with Pastor Shane Capps officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Riverview Funeral Home, 421 W. Canal St., Peru.
